Time Management Training Tailored Specifically for Your Needs

At Donovan Training Associates, we believe that optimised and effective training cannot be achieved with an off-the-shelf, one-size-fits-all solution. As a result, our time management training is bespoke, tailored to the specific needs of your organisation and the individual delegates.

How Our Time Management Training Works

One of the most important elements of effective time management is understanding the purpose of your team or department, and linking that into how you spend your time proportionately.

Working on the premise from Pareto that 80% of our productivity will come from 20% of our time, we will work with you to identify exactly where this 20% comes from and how to maximise your effectiveness.

We can then work on some of the prioritisation tools needed to help you organise your time, tackling the challenge that is procrastination along the way.

Why You May Need Time Management Training

  • Struggling to meet deadlines and manage workload
  • Experiencing high levels of stress and burnout
  • Inefficient use of time leading to decreased productivity
  • Difficulty prioritising and scheduling tasks and projects
  • Wanting to improve work-life balance
  • Personal and professional development
  • Preparing and improving your current skill set prior to applying for a promotion

Time Management Training Course Outline: An Example

As mentioned above, all of our training is tailored specifically to you and considers the needs of your organisation and the needs of your staff. Where possible, we endeavour to provide examples and scenarios which are relevant to your business and therefore, which your employee’s can relate to.

However, we understand that when comparing training providers it is helpful to have a better understanding of their approach and what a typical training day might look like, and so we have put together the following as an example which we hope you will find useful.

Course overview

Our time management training is typically a 1-day session, designed and tailored to your needs. Depending on the number of delegates, your location, and demands of the business, training can either be provided:

  • In-person
  • Face-to-face via online real-time video training

We also provide custom pre-prepared training materials for your organisation, including videos and interactive resources. These are useful for delegates to utilise as reminders or to learn in their spare time.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this level of training course. It is suitable for anyone looking to improve their time management skills, regardless of their current level of expertise. However, if you have a large number of delegates, you may prefer to create cohorts based on department or staff seniority level so that attendee’s feel more comfortable being open with discussing pain-points and challenges.

Resources:

After the training workshop, we send out resources that are specific to the needs of the audience. Typical examples include links to podcasts, TED talks, books etc.

When suitable, also embed relevant TED talks into the workbooks that we provide which are all in an interactive PDF format.

Case Study:

“Anthony is outstanding. He provides engaging sessions which inspire employees and give them the skills they need to be the best they can be. Highly recommend.”

Jo Ayres, Business Partnering Manager at JTI. Crewe (UK)

We were asked by a long-standing client in the manufacturing sector to design and deliver a bespoke prioritisation workshop. The challenge faced by those attending was that the nature of their role entailed them being consistently busy, leaving them with little time to focus on their stretch objectives. An additional challenge was that several were suffering from burnout, which was starting to have an inevitable impact from both a professional and personal perspective. Following a consultation, we realised it would be helpful to incorporate some goal setting tips into the session.

The learners used the time to write down some outcome focused objectives for themselves and then used the prioritisation tools to schedule these in, both professional and personal. We divided the learners into two groups and facilitated a focused and interactive morning and afternoon session so that everybody could attend without it impacting on the whole day.
